Our Vision

The vision for the Tulare City School District Preschool Program is to raise (up) caring, creative, and confident children in a joyful, nurturing, and safe learning environment.

Our Mission

The mission is to provide a strong foundation for each child to be a life-long learner, to prepare each child to become independent, to maximize readiness for ongoing school experiences, and to promote family-centered education.  

To accomplish this mission, the Tulare City School District Preschool Program will:

• provide a developmentally appropriate, literacy-based curriculum
• create and maintain an environment in which all children learn through play
• establish parent partnerships
• provide and support ongoing educational opportunities for staff, parents, and care providers
• create inclusive classroom environments for all students
• facilitate smooth preschool to TK/Kindergarten transitions
• promote effective communication
• establish and maintain collaborative relationships with other community agencies
